Light Breaks Through is part of a series of portraits seen through a veil of translucent florals and foliage. These impressionistic interpretations of nature explore the fleeting feeling of connection to a beauty that we cannot keep. Flowers are small miracles that speak stories of life, death, resurrection, and a persistent, transcendent joy. They call us to a stubborn gladness that fiercely, rebelliously clings to hope in the midst of grief and despair. This painting was born from that fierce fight to choose joy. It is a love letter to fellow rebels. 

Each painting is created using archival quality oils on canvas and shipped directly from Jess’s studio in Los Angeles. Please allow 2-3 weeks for preparation and packing of original artwork. Note that larger pieces may involve extra communication to ensure safe delivery.
